Becky's Birthday

Tayo contacted me last week looking for a photographer to capture some nice family photos for his wife's milestone birthday. Take notes, guys, --that's what every mother and wife will never turn down--photos of their family together! When the Dare family pulled up and I met them, I was in awe of how gorgeously beautiful they were put together for their photos. I love, love, love it. Molly & Bryan + 3

One of the best parts about being a photographer is getting to see families grow through the frame over time. Molly and Bryan were our first next door neighbors here in Frisco, and have become lifelong friends. I took these girls' photos last when they were just newborns, and now they are 9 months old! One thing is for sure with this family---there may be a little chaos, but there is a lot of love!

New addition to my lens family - the Canon 70-200mm 2.8L USM IS II

Weighing in at 3 pounds and 5 ounces, this baby is going to make all of my bokeh dreams come true. I stalked the UPS tracking all day on my phone and then Bauer and I greeted him eagerly as I received my new Canon 70-200mm 2.8L USM IS II, in layman's terms, the big daddy of lenses. I can see it now. Sporting events and zoom capability, image stabilization for razor sharpness, and creamy, blurry backgrounds.... Not to mention, I can basically not have to worry about lifting weights. This lens combined with my Canon 6D is a weight of almost 6 pounds. Which isn't much--until you lift it in the air consistently for an hour! So now my SBVA Snaps Photography lens family includes my 50mm f1.8, 85mm
