So this weekend, the rain stopped. And almost overnight, all of the trees' colors began to change. Oranges, yellows, and reds---FALL IS HERE! Let me take you through a few highlights from my weekend in the photo world. It's the end of October and in the photography world, that means we are as busy as a CPA in April. Usually, when the weather begins to change like it has been in the past couple of weeks, it reminds families to book their Fall family photos. But if you've ever been the person in charge of booking photos, you may find that photographers are selling out their sessions by now. I sold out all of my weekend spots by the first of October. The best time to contact your photographer to schedule your family Fall photo sessions is in the months of August and September. At this point, your photographer should have flexibility on their calendar and you will be able to snag a coveted weekend evening spot

This month has been the rainiest and coldest October I have seen in years! The weatherman said that we have had 22 inches of rain in the last month, a record. My family photo sessions are sold out in the months of October and November in preparation for Christmas cards, and families usually have scheduled their sessions around their own events. Just like my clients, I am stalking multiple weather apps for the upcoming week's sessions. Any Texan resident can attest that predicting the weather is laughable and really just a guessing game.
